Installing floorboard fringe

Each pair of floorboard fringe ships with definitive instructions and a tube of special adhesive — Barge All Purpose Cement — designed for metal-to-leather applications. The adhesive won't harm the floorboard or the leather.

How it goes on

A bead of the adhesive goes around the floorboard. A second bead goes along the length of the floorboard fringe where it will attach. Let the adhesive get tacky for 6–8 minutes, then press the fringe firmly against the floorboard.

The whole process takes about 15 minutes. After it cures you can be back on the road in 45.

How long does it last

We have customers with over 20,000 miles on their fringe, through every kind of weather, and it still looks like the day we shipped it. The owner has had a pair on his bike for two years and they look great.

Want to remove it later

It can be pulled off, and any remaining glue residue is easy to clean up.
